My Thoughts (Spoilers)

This book was such a whirlwind, and I feel as though this was the best way to end this series. Cassandra Clare is a genius, and even when this book was around 900 pages long, every part seemed like it was moving towards something in the future or the end.

The big thing was the parabatai tie, and I loved how it was concluded. The idea that when the bond went bad it unlocked the true nephilim power inside them, and that was what fueled the curse. I liked seeing Dru and Tivvy refuse to give up on there brother even when everyone went to stop them.

I really loved how the relationship between Christina, Mark and Kieran ended. I appreciated them discovering that they love each other, and needed all three of them to be together to be truly happy.

Brief moment to talk about how wonderful the friendship between Christina and Emma is. I treasured every scene the two had together.

I liked seeing Dru grow into her person, and really starting to show how she is important and not to be underestimated. I liked her being shown as being about to lie on the spot, and being good at picking locks. I feel like I'll love seeing how Kit and her friendship develops in the Wicked Powers.

Julian was interesting, to say the least. I really found him to remove his emotions to be a ridiculous idea, however you can see it being something he would do. One of my favourite scenes with him in it was in the other universe and he drew for the first time since he stopped feeling.

Emma, of course, is wonderful. I loved her strong will, and how much she cares for others and how much she hates some. I also enjoy seeing her react to the curse and really understanding why it is feared. Also her taking Robert Lightwood's tapestry from Dearborn was a great scene.

A big thing I enjoyed was seeing Rafael again. I found it hilarious, when he was learning about the him in Emma's universe, and hating how he died from Magnus, and Magnus naming his son after him. I liked seeing him happy about Lily taking over when he died, it was great.

Kit and Ty got me stressed. With them going on different paths and not talking, I have no idea how The Wicked Powers are going to happen. I did really enjoy there scenes together. Kit, going with what Ty was doing even though it was against his morals, and in the end, knowing he couldn't stick around after it happened.
