My Thoughts (Spoilers)
This trilogy would have to be one of my favourite series of all time. I love the story and the characters and learning about the Norse mythology. Especially since I am not as familiar with Norse and I am with Greek and Roman, which I had become in love with because of his previous series.
We got a new character in this book, Alex. And I love them so much. Alex is Sam's sibling which explains why they are so badass. With Alex, you find out about Loki's shapeshifting abilities that her past to both of his children in more extremes. Because Sam doesn't really use her powers often it is nice to see Alex's view on the fact that maybe it isn't the use of the shapeshifter that gives Loki control of them, but it was them letting him.
I really enjoy seeing more of the Hearthstone's past. With the whole his father being a dick and blaming his deaf son for not noticing something was going on with his brother behind his back that led to his death. So you know that the bastard was very rude and was kind of rude.
Also we finally got to see Amir and Sam interact and it was so cute. They are such nerds and are in love with each other. Just like they deserve to be happy together and I am so happy Amir found out about the whole Norse thing.
Learning about Loki's situation was also a thing. And the whole battle before him getting free was amazing. I loved seeing more about everything and the stupid sword that was so sexist.
