Writing Update #3

It has been awhile since I posted an update and with NaNoWriMo coming up I am going to need to set things up and prepare and hopefully get my other projects up to where I want them to be.

Let's start with Life After Death, I am currently still doing my first round of edits but I am hoping to get it done by the midpoint of October. Which could literally be the most crazy plan for me to have, because school is a questionable thing, right now. I am starting to find the rewrite a lot easier, since I am starting to get to the parts where I am so excited about, like introducing one of my characters earlier than I did in the first draft.

I have finally finished the basic outline for the novel I am going to be working on after Life After Death. I used Katytastic's 27 blocks outline, and I think I am going to used that to create a chapter by chapter outline to use when I actually start writing. I am also going to make a power dictionary for myself because they are starting to get a little fizzy for me, along with some character sketches and naming some characters that only really have what they do as a place holder.

And since I mention NaNoWriMo earlier, I am going to announce that I am going to be attempting to write Mind Strong during this year. This year will be my first year since my first year doing NaNoWriMo, I will be working on a brand new project without working on a story I haven't started. Last year there was write ins hosted at my local library so if they are going ahead again this year I am going to be trying to go. On the flip side I am not very confident in winning. Yes, I am working on being relatively detailed with my outline, which is something I haven't done before. But I am in high school and have things going on in the evenings so I am going to have to be writing all the words as fast as I can.

I don't think I have anything else to say at this point, I touched on all the things I was hoping to in this post. So with that said, Kendra is out, peace!
